Total Triage System
We want to make it easier for patients to contact the surgery and for requests to be handled on the same day they are made, so we are making some changes to our appointment system, effective 4th November 2024.
From 4th November we will be operating a total triage system. This means that rather than calling us, all you will need to do is complete a form on our website to get help with medical problems, request an appointment, order repeat prescriptions or contact our admin team. This will help prevent you needing to wait in a long telephone queue. Telephone and face to face appointments will be available once the form has been triaged by a GP or, where appropriate, patients will be advised on how to access other more appropriate services, such as a local pharmacy.
Patients who are unable to use digital forms and have no one to help them can call as usual for a receptionist to complete the forms on their behalf, and will benefit from shorter waiting times for phone assistance.
The best way to arrange an appointment with us is via the ‘Speak to/Get Help From My GP’ box at the top of this page. From 4th November the form will be available daily, until we run out of safe capacity. Appointment requests after this will need to be made by telephone to ensure we can manage demand.
We understand change can be difficult and we are committed to supporting you during this transition and thank you in advance for your support.

Patient Access
Using Patient Access on your computer or mobile, you or a proxy (family member or carer) can: –
- order repeat prescriptions
- book and cancel appointments
- view your medical record
